This page is an English translation of the Japanese original. The Japanese version is the official text. If the interpretation of this English version differs from that of the Japanese version, the Japanese version and Japanese law prevail.
The Hikariza Operator (Kohei Katada; the "Operator") sets out below how users' information is handled on the website "Hikariza" (https://hikariza.com/; the "Service"). The Service is a site that requires no account registration or login, and it is not intended to collect users' personal information.
1. Information the Service Does Not Receive
- The Service has no account registration or login system, and there are no fields for entering your name, email address, or similar information.
- VRM files you load are used for loading and display only inside the browser on your device. They are never sent (uploaded) to the Operator's servers or to third parties. The Service also does not save the VRM file itself on your device.
- Videos you export (recordings and MVs) are created inside the browser on your device and are only saved to your device or handed to your device's sharing feature (share sheet). They are never sent to the Operator's servers. How they are handled by the apps or services you share them to is governed by the terms and policies of each provider.
- The Service does not use your camera, microphone, or location information. The only sound included in recordings is the music played by the Service.
2. Information Saved on Your Device
So that you can start with the same settings next time, only the following settings are saved in your browser's storage area (local storage).
- Your avatar's appearance (skin, hair, and eye colors, hairstyle, body size, and face roundness) and your outfit choices
- Whether to animate VRM facial expressions (blinking, mouth movement, and so on)
- The song selected on the stage, the dance style selected for each song, and whether to use the low-angle camera
- The display language (when you switch between 日本語, English, and 한국어, or, in the app, when your device language changes)
- Whether you have stopped analytics measurement (only if you press the "Stop measurement in this browser" button described in Section 3)
These are saved only on your device, and the saved values themselves are never sent to the Operator (the analytics in Section 3 sends the action of choosing a song or dance style on the stage, along with the type of song or dance style chosen). You can delete them by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
3. Analytics (Google Analytics) and Cookies
To learn how much each page and feature of the Service is used and to improve the site, the Service uses Google Analytics 4, an analytics tool of Google LLC ("Google"). It is used only on the production site (https://hikariza.com/).
- Google Analytics uses cookies (such as "_ga") and similar technologies to send information such as the following to Google's servers: pages viewed (only the page location and the type of song chosen), the types of actions taken in the Service (dancing on the stage, choosing a song or dance style, whether a VRM was loaded successfully, the start, completion, or failure of recording and MV export, and saving or sharing), approximate region, device and browser type, screen size, referring site, and the date and time of viewing.
- Only the types of actions are sent. The names and contents of VRM files you load and the videos you export are never sent. Information that can directly identify you, such as your name or email address, is not sent either.
- The Operator looks at the collected information only as statistics and only to improve the site. It is not used to identify individuals. Advertising features (Google signals and ad personalization) are not used.
- For how Google handles information, please see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
-
If you want to stop measurement, use either of the following. The Service keeps working even if you stop it.
- The Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on provided by Google (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en). Once it is installed in a computer browser, that browser no longer sends information to Google Analytics (including on sites other than the Service).
- The "Stop measurement in this browser" button just below (shown in browsers where JavaScript is available; it also works on smartphones). When you press it, a "do not measure" marker is saved in this browser (the local storage in Section 2), and sending stops immediately on that page and on any other pages of the Service you have open (information Google Analytics was holding before sending is not sent either). From then on, the Service does not load Google Analytics in this browser. If you clear this site's data in your browser settings, the marker is also deleted and measurement resumes.
- Deleting cookies removes the identifiers saved by Google Analytics (cookies such as "_ga"). However, measurement does not stop, and the next time you open the Service, measurement starts with a new identifier. If you want to stop measurement, use one of the methods above.
The Service's own programs do not use cookies themselves (settings are saved only in the local storage in Section 2). The Service does not show advertisements.
4. Where the Service Communicates
All of the Service's pages, programs, music, fonts, and other files are delivered from the Service's own server (hikariza.com).
The exception is the Google Analytics communication in Section 3. On the production site, a short while after a page opens, the measurement program is loaded from Google's servers (googletagmanager.com), and the information described in Section 3 is sent to Google's servers (such as google-analytics.com). Nothing is sent while a recording or MV is being exported (information Google Analytics had been waiting to send since before the export is also held back on your device), and it is sent after the export ends. In browsers where measurement has been stopped with the button in Section 3, the measurement program is not loaded.
Apart from this, your device does not communicate with third-party servers, such as external font delivery services or CDNs (content delivery networks), except when you open a link on this page.
5. Access Logs of the Hosting Provider
The Service is delivered through the hosting service of Vercel Inc. As with ordinary web servers, access logs such as your IP address, browser type, date and time of access, and pages viewed when you open a page may be recorded in Vercel's systems.
The Operator checks these records only to keep the Service running stably and to respond to unauthorized access. They are not used to identify individuals. For how Vercel handles information, please see the Vercel Privacy Policy.
6. Use of YouTube API Services
Hikariza uses YouTube API Services.
The Operator uses YouTube API Services to publish and manage MVs made with the Service on the Operator's own YouTube channel. Only the Operator's account grants permission (authorization) with a Google account for this.
The Service has no feature for signing in with a Google account. The Service does not obtain, store, or share users' Google account or YouTube data.
- YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms)
- Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
Permissions given to apps with a Google account can be revoked at any time from Google's security settings page (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions).
7. Disclosure to Third Parties
The Operator does not provide users' information to third parties, except where required by law and where information is sent to Google through Google Analytics as described in Section 3.
8. Changes to This Policy
When this policy is revised, the change will be announced on this page together with the revision date.
